Paramahamsa Parivrajaka Upanishad : ウィキペディア英語版 | Paramahamsa Parivrajaka Upanishad
Paramahamsa Parivrajaka Upanishad ((サンスクリット:परमहम्स परिव्रजक उपनिस्हद्)), is one of the 108 Upanishadic Hindu scriptures, written in Sanskrit. It is one of the 31 Upanishads under the Atharvaveda. It is classified as one the 17 Sannyasa Upanishads. ==Name== The literal meaning of Paramahamsa is "supreme swan" and Parivarjaka means "wandering"; these words are prefixed to the Upanishad, symbolizing spiritual discrimination. Paramahasa is also characterized as a person whose head is tonsured, who has no ''yagnopivita'' or sacred thread, subsists on nourishment similar to that of Hamsa (swan), and takes such food as will be obtained from five households without carrying an "alms bowl". Adi Narayana explains to his son Brahma that Paramahamsa is a "mendicant monk" who seeks renunciation.
